Shamanism addresses the spiritual aspects of healing. Choosing a shamanic practitioner to help you with personal growth and healing can be a daunting task. There are many kinds of practitioners who come from quite different wisdom traditions, or not. When determining what you need from this work, it is wise to interview the practitioner and ask:

*what type of and how much training have they had

*how long have they been in practice

*what happens in a session

*do they provide any support after the session

*what is the cost

*what are the ethics that guide their practice

In the interview, you can also determine if the person is a good energetic match for you. Do you feel comfortable? safe? in good hands?
