DRUM making workshop

Come join us for a very special toolmaking workshop. Ool and Kellie Pardi, of StrongHeart DrumMedicine are coming to Michigan and joining me at Heart to Heart to show you how to make your own buffalo drum. A drum is a spirit all its own, and I have developed a very special relationship to mine. Come create with us and learn how to join your spirit with that of the drum. Shamanic skills are not required, only the desire to create something beautiful that will support you in your life's path.

This workshop will teach you how to tie a 16" hand drum the old fashioned way from natural materials. The frames are steam bent ash by Irish Shaman and drum maker Daithi Dubh of Wild Spirit Drums. The skins are sustainably sourced free range buffalo.

Drums are powerful tools that become allies for walking any medicine path. When you make sacred tools with your own hands, you open a world within you that sees life, death, rebirth and resources differently. It is a transformative process for the maker...in ways one would never expect or plan for. Birthing sacred tools in challenging seasons of Life tend to give us the space to make ourselves as we make the making.
